Our smartphones are a vital part of our. everyday life, users want nothing but the best performance from these devices. It’s a known fact that at some point these devices begin to lag but not if we constantly care for these devices. I’ll provide you with a guideline which I personally use to get the best out of my smartphone.

1.Delete Useless Pre Installed Apps.
Pre-installed softwares are softwares already installed and licensed on a computer or smartphone bought from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). To be honest some pre installed apps are totally useless, if you feel you have no need for a pre installed app please do what's right by uninstalling, you'll be doing your smartphone a huge favour.

2.Opt For "Lite" Or "Go" Versions Of Apps.
For those who still have a smartphone running on 1 gigabyte of RAM or less, you should really consider this. Developers have made available lighter versions of popular apps we use daily such as the Facebook lite app instead of the regular Facebook application. Try this and watch your device carry out operations faster and smoother.

3.Constantly Update Your Applications And Devices.
Not updating your applications/device could cause some serious lagging issues. Updates come with bug fixes and a whole lot of under the hood improvements to give users the best experience when using their devices, give your device a treat by looking out for the latest updates and installing them as soon as possible.
To check for application updates simply click on your mobile app store or turn on auto update so you don't have to keep visiting the mobile app store, once an update is available it'll download and install automatically.
To check for system updates simply go through the app in the menu if one is provided or click on the SETTINGS app on your device, scroll and click on SYSTEM , here various information about your device will the displayed, click on SYSTEM UPDATES and follow the instructions given. (Note:This may differ with various brands).

4.Monitor Your Device's Storage With Apps.
Users of Tecno and Infinix Devices may have noticed a pre installed software which helps you manage and clean junk taking up space on their devices - Phone Master, I personally use this software to get rid of junk. If you do not have this software on your device, you could install it via your App Store. "Files" by Google is another software you could use to get rid of junk, some devices have this software pre installed.

5.Get An External Storage Device.
Users could boost their devices by getting an external storage device. If your internal storage isn't large enough for your device to work it then there may be some serious issues. Too many media files on your internal storage will cause sluggishness. Provide your device with an external storage to work with but also ensure you get a good one, because a bad memory card could make your device even slower.

6. Run Lesser Games On Your Device.
For users who use a device with a not so fast processor you should really consider this.
Flooding your devices with Games isn't the right thing to do when using such devices. Users make such mistakes a lot and you'll notice your device becomes frustratingly slow after a period of time. Games need a lot of storage to function properly, if you're using a device with only 1 gigabyte of RAM or less backed with a processor of just 1.2/1.3GHz, you'll be putting a lot of stress on your device.
For those of you who need to know more about your device so as to know just what sort of software or Games you could run on them download "Castro" which is available on your Mobile App Store.
