INGREDIENTS:

You just need the following ingredients which are readily available at our home or you can find them in any local cosmetic shop or pharma-shop.

  1. Rosewater
  2. Glycerine
  3. Lemon Juice
  4. Vitamin E oil or capsule (optional)

Rosewater:


Rosewater is been used in Ayurvedic skin remedies for thousands of years. It is rich in antioxidants. It's well known for skin softening properties. And it increases the skin's glow naturally. It's Anti-inflammatory properties curbs the acne from its roots.

Glycerine:

Glycerine has some amazing benefits for healthier-looking skin. It acts like a natural toner, moisturizer, and an excellent cleanser. Glycerine is also known for skin lightening by restoring your natural skin tone.

Lemon Juice:


Lemon juice has anti-aging properties and is a good source of Vitamin C. Lemon Juice repairs the damaged skin cells and also helps you to get rid of fine lines, blemishes, wrinkles, etc.

Vitamin E Oil:


Vitamin E is most commonly known for its benefits for skin health and appearance. It has anti-aging and skin-conditioning agents. It reduces inflammation and makes your skin look younger. When it's paired with Vitamin C it treats the hyperpigmentation of the skin.

PROCEDURE:

  • Take one teaspoon of Glycerine.
  • Take one teaspoon of Pure Rosewater.
  • One teaspoon of Lemon Juice.
  • And you can add 5 to 10 drops of Vitamin E oil or prick 2 capsules of Vitamin E and squeeze it in the mixture (this step is completely optional)
  • Mix it properly and store it in a bottle.
All the essential ingredients are taken in the same ratio. You can take these ingredients in equal parts according to your required quantity

APPLICATION:

At night before you're going to bed. Wash your face, take this mixture and apply it on your face using a cotton swab evenly on your face. and that's all done now you can go and sleep and this remedy will work for you all night.
The next morning just wash your face normally and you will see a significant change in your skin tone and glow. You can also apply this mixture on your body if you feel dry and itchy. For that just double the quantity of rosewater in this concoction and store it in a different bottle or container. The ratio of the ingredients will be then become 2:1:1 (Rosewater: Glycerine: Lemon juice).

PRECAUTIONS:

The things you need to keep in mind that you do not use this mixture during day time. Otherwise, it'll reverse its effect. And you should not expose the mixture in direct sunlight. I wouldn't recommend you to change the ratio of the ingredients which are used in it. Also, I suggest you to store this concoction in a glass container.

PREVENTIONS:

By following some common tips you can prevent your skin from dryness and prevent yourself from the discomfort of that itchiness.
  • Apply moisturizers and emollients regularly after bathing.
  • Don't scratch skin.
  • Don't shave with a blunt razor or without shaving gel or cream.
  • Use mild soap or hydrating body wash while bathing.
  • Do not take a shower too often.
  • Don't use warm water for bathing. If possible use running tap water or slightly lukewarm water instead.
  • Don't rub your skin too hard when towel drying yourself.
  • Avoid using the lotions that contain alcohol.
  • Avoid coming in contact with detergent frequently.
  • Avoid sitting under direct heat from a heater or fire.
  • Don't wear clothes that rub your skin.
  • Cover your skin properly in windy conditions while staying outside.
  • Always apply moisturizers before stepping out in windy weather.
  • Apply moisturizers after every 4-5 hours.

If environmental factors and aging is not the cause of your skin drying, it may be a skin problem that is underlying in your body. In this case, you should consult a doctor.

If home remedies and store-bought products (moisturizers, lotions, etc.) are not healing your dry skin you should go to a doctor and ask'em about the problem.

It's is important to keep your skin moisturized and hydrated. Dry skin is just not a matter of discomfort it can also lead to red patches, bleeding, and bacterial infections, if untreated. Redness, swelling, and pus may indicate a bacterial infection. If a person suspects their skin has become infected, they should consult a doctor as soon as possible.
