Snapdragon VS Media Tek which is better

 ➤ To buy a smartphone, the processor is the main thing that we have to consider. In this I will tell you which processor is better among the snapdragon and Media Tek.

 ➤ The most complex smartphone themes are their processors. To begin with, it's completely wrong to call them " PROCESSOR" because they are much more than that. So that the commonly used name by manufactures is " SoC "(System on Chip). In this Chips we have two Qualcomm Snapdragon and Media Tek. These are the chips that used mostly in smartphones.

To get a better knowledge about them we can to compare the chips for a different categories like CPU, GPU, Performance, Power consumption, Production cost,Gaming, etc.

Firstly, what is SoC (System on Chip), is an integrated circuit that integrates all components of a computer or other electronic system that includes a CPU, memory, input/output ports and secondary storage all one on a single microchip. 

Media Tek, is a chipset production organisation that took in 1997 at Hsinchu. Some of the prominent roll-outs from Media Tek are Helio X20 series and MT6752 series etc.

Snapdragon, is a chip which is organized by Qualcomm in 1985 at San Diego. Some of the major roll outs from the Qualcomm are Snapdragon 200, 400, 600 and 800 series,etc.

Category wise.

ARM Architecture 

Snapdragon: Qualcomm designs its own CPUs which are 64-bit kryo core and 32-bit krait core. These are either customized or semi-customized ARM CPUs based on ARM which have been enhanced for their performance.

Media Tek: Media Tek, on the other hand, employs standard ARM architecture for the processors. While compared to the Snapdragon the specifications are not modified much with regards to the ARM Architecture.

GPU

Snapdragon: The GPUs or the Graphics Processing unit in Qualcomm are designed in house and the series is known as Adreno.
Media Tek: The GPUs in this chipsets are from ARM Holdings-A Mali Brand.

Gaming

Snapdragon: For the gaming platform this Chip sets has Adreno GPU setup, this is the best GPU for Gaming.

Media Tek: In this Media Tek chipsets the GPU was Mali. This Mali GPU cannot handle the games properly compared to the snapdragon.

Performance

Snapdragon: The Snapdragon was a market  ruler in the performance. The chipsets experienced a considerable heating and they were a battery- drainer too.

Media Tek: Media Tek too experienced a great bit of heating. However, in the advanced roll-outs the Media Tek P-series was resolved the problems.

Power consumption

Snapdragon: Snapdragon processors do not consume much power. But, the heating is sometimes really grave which disdrains the battery life.

Media Tek: Media Processor consumes a lots of battery energy. However, the troubles have been resolved to a great extent.

Production Cost

Snapdragon: Most of the Snapdragon chips are costly and they are only found in the high-range smartphones.

Media Tek: Media Tek chipsets are far less cheap than Snapdragon chipsets and are found in most of the budget smartphones. 


Final Summary of Snapdragon vs. Media Tek

Generally, the processing power of the both chipsets is high. However, the difference between them are mostly reflected in battery consumption as well as endurance. According to our estimates, Snapdragon is a more powerful and reliable chipset than Media Tek, but Media Tek is therefore a much more cost-efficient variant.
