Homemade Fish
Sticks are so easy to make! They are crunchy and delicious. If you try this
recipe at home, hope you can forget the store-bought stuff! You only need 4
ingredients to make fish finger.
Make the Best Fish Sticks at Home
You can make this delicious Fish Sticks at home just in the following
steps.
- Cut the fish a long finger shape (preferred 1X3 inch).
- Prepare the breading in dishes: one for flour, one for egg and one for breadcrumbs.
- Dip each fish piece into flour then into the egg and at last into breadcrumbs.
- Fry or bake until golden brown.
Ingredients
- Kosher salt (as needed)
- Ground black pepper (as needed)
- 2-pound white fish (Cut 1X3 inch shape)
- 1 cup pastry flour or white wheat flour
- 2 teaspoon garlic paste
- 4-5 slices whole-grain bread or 2 cups breadcrumbs (As needed)
- 2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 2 eggs
Directions
1. Set
a pan on oven

oil Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
3. Add
salt and pepper with the fish sticks. Place the flour on a plate and mix the
garlic with a fork, and set aside.
4. Place
the bread in a food processor and make breadcrumb. Mix with salt and pepper.
Transfer the breadcrumbs to a plate and set aside.
5. Now
whisk the egg and 2 tablespoon water in a pot. Dredge a piece of fish in the
flour, lightly shake the excess, and then dip the fish in the egg mixture, then
the breadcrumbs, gently pressing into the crumbs. Repeat with the remaining
pieces of fish.
6. Place
a metal cooling rack on top of a baking sheet, and mist with sunflower oil.
Place the fish sticks on the rack and bake until the fish is cooked through,
about 10 - 12 minutes.
Note: Fish sticks have breaded a pair of days ahead. Cover and chill, or freeze
in resealable plastic bags up to 3 months. Fish sticks are sautéing from frozen
(cooking time is slightly longer).
