1.Design & Build Quality
The phone has a diamension of
158.7×75.2×8.6 mm and weights about 183 gram. It has glass covered to
both it's front and back with gorilla glass 5 protection. The phone has a
hybrid sim slot with dedicated micro SD card slot. Realme XT has a tear
drop notch towards the front. The phone also has a single firing loud
speaker and a headphone jack. The audio output through both were great.
It has a quad camera to the back and an indisplay fingerprint scanner
which is fast and accurate. The phone come's in two colour gradient (
pearl white, pearl blue). Design and build quality wise the phone is
close enough to flaghsip.
2.Display
The phone has an 6.4 inch super amoled display. It's great to see an
amoled display at this price range. Since it's amoled there is no issues
with screen quality or visibility. Infact the display is one of the key
selling factors of the phone. It provide a screen to body ratio of
84.3%. Realme XT has a pixel per inch density of 403.
3.Performance
The phone is Powered by Snapdragon 712 which is a 10 nm chip. It is also
paired with a Adreno 616 gpu. The phone does well in all department
starting from day to day task to extensive gaming. During my testing the
phone didn't lag or had frame drop. When it comes to gaming it can play
graphical intensive game at 30 fps in high graphics which is great
considering the price.
4.Camera
The phone has a quad camera setup to the back. The main sensor is a 64
MP f/1.8 paired with a 8MP f/2.3 ultrawide lens , 2 MP f/ 2.4 dedicated
macro lens and a 2MP f/2.4 Depth sensor. The phone camera perform's well
both in day and night condition. It take's some stunning photo with
Great dynamic range during day light. The ultrawide camera also
perform's decently. When it comes to video recording it can shoot video
in 4k @30 fps. The front camera is a 16 MP f/2.0 lens. It also take
selfies with great detail's. When it comes to selfies in night it
struggles like most other phone's in this segment. It can shoot video at
1080p in 30fps.
5.Battery
The phone has a 4000 Mah battery which will last for a day with heavy
Usage. When it comes to screen on time the phone give a screen on time
of 6 hrs roughly. It also has 20 W fast charger bundled inside the box
which charges the phone completely in 1hrs.
Now let us take a look at the Con's of the device.
CON'S
Software
The only department in my opinion the Realme XT lags behind. It runs
android 9 out of the box which will be later upgraded to android 10. But
the Main problem of the phone is the Custom skin Color Os. Color Os
doesn't provide great user interface and has cartoonish icons and due to
the over animation it makes the phone slow. But as a compliment the
Colour Os also has some great customisation options.
CONCLUSION
The Realme XT is a great Device. It provide amazing spec at great Value.
But it has competition from the Redmi Note 8 pro. If you have money and
want a flagship level phone in budget segment then you should consider
having a look at the Realme XT.
